KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) – Police in one Eastern Carolina city say a man went on a fake check writing spree at just one bank.
Kinston police have charged Brandon Tripp, of Lenoir County, with 22 counts of uttering a forged instrument and one count of obtaining property by false pretense.
Officers say on July 1st, the man is accused of depositing 24 fake checks at the State Employees Credit Union via mobile deposit.
No word from police about just how much the 24 checks totaled.
