In case you missed it: New University To Welcome 10,000 Students To Eastern North Carolina This Fall
Minnesott Beach, NC - North Carolina’s newest university, U of M is rising from the banks of the Neuse River in Eastern North Carolina and will be accepting 10,000 students this fall and fielding a football team scheduled to play the North Carolina Tarheels, North Carolina State Wolfpack and East Carolina Pirates. "Recruiting efforts for the U of M Fighting Ferries are off to an awesome start," said first year coach Stonewall. "I’m not saying every kid is coming in with loads of experience but we have athletes applying and have signed some four star recruits that will shock a lot of folks. I have a different philosophy then most college football programs. We don’t have, or don’t need layers of assistant coaches, video specialists, trainers, and recruiters. Nope, the kids play for me and I know how to win. We spread the field like nobody’s business. We spread out so wide you might even see one of our kids in the stands. Our speed and spacing will run the Heels' hurry up offense off the field. I’ve done it my whole life and I’m a winner. The Ferries are for real!"
Beach, Boogie & Blues the flagship station for the Fighting Ferries is covering the progress of the team and the home stadium. The first home game will be played in a field beside the university. "Our stands won’t be complete for the game, but we have plenty of space in Pamlico county to spread out and play a little football," said the Fighting Ferries' groundskeeper. It will be like a game played in the early 1900’s. Folks standing around a field not just watching the action, but feeling it. The Beach Boogie and Blues Network, which features Southern Soul and Carolina Beach Music has signed on as the flagship station and will broadcast all games.
